- Deacon Erastus BROWN, who has
been lingering for some tome, died on Sunday
- last. Deceased was 67 years of age,
and was one of the early settlers here. The funeral took place
Tuesday afternoon from the S.D.B. church here, the Rev. Dr. Wardner
officiating, and the remains were interred in the Milton cemetery.

- Rev. J[ames] BAILEY died at
his home in this village after a brief illness, on Sunday
- afternoon last, July 31. Deceased had
been blind for the past two years or more, and had been retired
from active service in the ministry for several years. He was
about 80 years old. The funeral took place from the residence,
the Rev. W. C. Whitford officiating. [Thursday edition, p.
