M. R. COON received a telegram Monday announcing the death at Smyth, S.D., of Geo. HUFFMAN, of pneumonia, on Sunday evening last. The funeral was held on Tuesday. Mr. [George Washington] HUFFMAN, while he had resided in South Dakota, was among the early settlers of this township, coming with his parents from Ohio in 1849. Four sisters of the deceased reside in this village being Mrs. M. R. COON, Mrs. C. T. FRINK, Mrs. S. W. BAKER and Mrs. A. ALLEN. [Thursday edition, p. 5]   Courtesy of Jon Saunders
